蜜桔直播 TRiO executive director to present in Washington D.C.

Dr. Catherine Estis, executive director of the University of Louisiana at Monroe's TRiO programs, will present at the Council for Opportunity in Education's 30th annual conference in Washington D.C. to a national audience and members of Congress.

Estis, member of the educational talent search program at 蜜桔直播 since 1992, will present results reflecting the positive impact the TRiO program has had in northeast Louisiana.

TRiO programs, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, strive to assist low-income and first-generation potential college students whose parents do not have a four-year college degree.

Two of eight TRiO Programs鈥擡ducational Talent Search and Upward Bound鈥揺xist at 蜜桔直播.

Their mission is to graduate students from high school who are prepared for a post-secondary education, with the ultimate goal of graduation from college.
