ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s incoming freshman begin transition to college life
The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Preview Registration & Enrollment Program sessions for incoming fall 2012 freshmen began Wednesday, June 6 on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ campus.
The June 6-7 PREP session is reserved for incoming students receiving academic/merit scholarships.
The two-day PREP sessions help new students schedulefall classes, scope out the campus, and meet fellow classmates. Students also meet with faculty and administrators, take necessary placement exams, select a major, and make course selections.
Incoming freshman leave PREP with a completed schedule of classes for the fall semester.
Parents of incoming freshmen are invited to participate in PREP through the Parent Orientation Program.
During POP parents learn what ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ has to offer, receive helpful information about their child’s first year of college, and attend sessions on tuition and fees, scholarships, financial aid and on-campus housing.
Several PREP/POP sessions are scheduled for this summer. The next PREP/POP session is June 13-14, followed by a June 27-28 session.
Two additional PREP/POP sessions have been added for July 11-12 and July 18-19.
For more information and registration, call the PREP Hotline at 318-342-7315 or 1-800-372-5127 or visit .
