ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ toxicology graduate student wins first place award at Louisiana Academy of Sciences
University of Louisiana at Monroe candidate for a Ph.D. in pharmacy, toxicology track, Sridhar Jaligama, was awarded first place for a poster he presented at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Academy of Sciences in Alexandria.
Jaligama's poster was presented in the Molecular, Biomedical Biology and Microbiology category.
Jaligama is in his fourth year of study with Dr. Sharon Meyer, associate professor of toxicology, researching toxicity of environmental degradation products of munitions in rodents - the topic of his prize-winning poster.
Jaligam is from Karimnagar in the southern part of India and graduated with a Bachelor's degree of Pharmacy from Kakatiya University, Warangal.
