Tommerdahl presents at Indiana conference
Representing the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Faculty Learning Committee, Dr. Annette Tommerdahl, an assistant professor of health studies, presented at the Midwest Scholars Conference at Indiana Wesleyan University.
According to their web site, the conference is broadly constructed so scholars may seek knowledge from those both inside and outside of their disciplines, in the same manner that scientists and philosophers met together in the philosophical and scientific societies of early America.
The conference was titled "Unleashed," Crossroads of Scholarship & Worldview." Tommerdahl's presentation, "Challenges of Developing Online Accelerated Courses," discussed development, layout, and delivery of two health studies accelerated online courses: Healthcare Ethics and Practicum II.
The presentation provided insight into the challenges of online course development and teaching, alongside recommendations for delivery.
