ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ salutes its veterans Nov. 7; first female brigadier general to speak

All active and retired veterans who are current students or employees of the University of Louisiana at Monroe will be honored at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Scott Plaza near the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library.

The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Veterans Day program will feature guest speaker and ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ sociology graduate General Joanne Sheridan (B.A. ’83), the first ever female brigadier general for the Louisiana National Guard.

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ President Dr. Nick J. Bruno and Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Wayne Brumfield will also speak.

Students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community are welcome to attend.

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s Office of Career Connections and the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Veterans Day Committee are sponsoring the event.
