Transfer Requirements

Students who have earned a transferrable associate's degree (AA, AALT, AS, AGS or ASLT) from an accredited institution are eligible for transfer to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥.


How to Transfer

1. Create anÌý.Ìý

Applicants will need toÌý,Ìýwhich is needed toÌýaccess and/or check the status of your application. Please keep the username/password you create for future reference. If you already have created a ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Admissions Account, simplyÌýÌýand apply.

2. Create Application.

The admissions application takesÌýless thanÌý10 minutes to complete. You will need to provide demographic and personal information, academic plans, and any high schools and/or colleges or universities you have previously and/or currently attending. All information you provide is encrypted and transmitted to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ in a secure manner. There is a $20 application fee forÌýundergraduate U.S. applicants. Application fees are waived for active U.S. military personnel and U.S. military veterans. ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ accepts MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express.ÌýAll application fees are non-refundable.

3. Submit your transcripts.Ìý

For faster service, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ accepts e-scripts. Please useÌýdocman@ulm.eduÌýas the recipient. If e-script is not an option at your prior institution, you may send by mail to:

4. Once admitted, check your student email account.ÌýRegularly check your new "@warhawks.ulm.edu" student email account for important information regarding financial aid, login credentials, advising, and more. If you need help logging into your email account, please call IT at 318.342.3333.

5. Submit immunization forms.ÌýAfter you have been admitted for 24 hours,Ìýyou will have access to the Medicat portal to submit your immunization documentation.ÌýClick here for more information. Online students must also submit these forms. Check ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s Next Steps Guide for more details.

Will my credits transfer?

The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Office of AdmissionsÌýwill send your transcripts to the Student Success Center where they will evaluate them to transfer as many credits as possible. Use the following resources to make estimates for which credits will transfer while our staff looks at your individual transcripts:

Will my financial aid from FAFSA follow me to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥?

Students who are transferring to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ need to add ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ to their FAFSA for that appropriate year. Our school code is 002020. If you are enrolling for Spring 2023, you would make this correction to the 2022-2023 FAFSA. This can take up to two weeks for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ to process.

Students will also need to contact their school they are transferring from and make sure they cancel any pending aid that ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ will need to apply for the appropriate term.

What if I cannot come for the term I applied for?

You can request for your term to be changed at /changerequest/.

Please note that you can only change your term up to a year from the initial application.


Partner Community Colleges

With ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s 2 + 2 program, students who graduate from one of our partner community colleges in an approved program are guaranteed ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ admission. After completing two years of ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ courses, you will graduate from ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ with one of the bachelor's degrees listed below to get started on your dream career. TheÌýÌýprovides a guaranteed and easy transfer from any of Louisiana's 2-year community colleges to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ for students earning an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer (AALT) or Associate of Science/Louisiana Transfer (ASLT).Ìý

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ also offers a fast-track (3+1), RN to BSN program with all Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges.Ìý

High school students not meeting ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s admissions requirements are highly encouraged to begin their post-secondary education at one of the community colleges listed below. These community colleges have a 2 + 2 agreement with ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, so certain credit hours earned at these community colleges transfer directly to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥.
