The 蜜桔直播 Child Development Center received extensive tree and wind damage during the Monday, October 13tornado. Repairs and replacements will have to be made to the Center鈥檚 fencing, playground equipment and bus. As the Center also lost power for an entire week, a large number of children鈥檚 meals had to removed and discarded.

鈥淲e had several projects in the works, and this event scheduled, but in light of the storm damage, repairs to the facilities and replacement of food will take precedence over those projects at this time鈥 Emily Williamson, Director of the Child Development Center, said.

The Center has canceled several field trips since their bus was crushed by a tree. 鈥淭he bus is equipped with special safety seats that are going to be very expensive to replace,鈥 Williamson said.

The CDC reopenedtodayafter being closed for a week because of the damage and lack of electricity.

Trees and the majority of debris have been cleared by the University, and breakers boxes have been restored.

The south side of the building will remain closed because the playground and outside classrooms received major damage.听No injuries were reported.
