MONROE, La. – ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s football team will face the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the Military Appreciation Day game this Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at JPS Field at Malone Stadium.
The face-off marks the last game of the season, and fans in attendance will be treated to two exciting events.
Warming up at the Grove tailgating area prior to the game, fans can take part in the 32nd annual Chili Cook-off event hosted by ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s 31 Ambassadors. The event is open to the public, who will have a chance to taste chili cooked from scratch by ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students, faculty and staff, as well as the local community.
Prizes are awarded for cooking and showmanship. Each person who purchases a $1 cup to taste chili gets a vote for the People’s Choice Chili Award.

In celebration of the 27th National title recently won in El Centro, Calif., the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Water Ski team is hosting a ski show on Bayou DeSiard at 11 a.m. Visitors will be able to enjoy the show from the bleachers in Heritage Park, next to the Anna Gray Noe Alumni Center on Bon Aire Drive.
