The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts impacts of Hurricane Ida to reach Ouachita
Parish late Sunday and continue into Monday afternoon. A tropical storm warning remains
in effect for Ouachita Parish. Rain may reach 1-2 inches in the ArkLaMiss and winds
are estimated to be 30-50 mph, according to the latest NWS update. Â
Since safety is our priority, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ will be closed Monday, August 30 out of an abundance
of caution. As of now, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ employees and students will resume their normal work and
class schedules on Tuesday, August 31. Â
The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library will close today, Sunday, August 29 at 5 p.m. Food Services will operate
under regular hours today, Sunday. Â
On Monday, Schulze (only) will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.Ìý
We encourage our employees and students not to travel during the storm. If you must
travel, please take all precautions when driving. Â
