Drawing uses artists' visual perceptions and their manual dexterity to create that vision. At ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, student-artists explore concepts of composition, quick gesture sketching, proportional relationships and the development of still life, landscape and figurative images in charcoal, graphite, ink and various color media on different surfaces of assorted sizes.
Many studio techniques and aesthetic ideas are interchanged as students develop an understanding of graphic media as a means to prelude painting, sculpture, etc., and ultimately channel their abilities into the creation of more developed drawn images that are of professional quality and are professionally presented.
In a studio-classroom group setting, student-artists are granted latitude to develop individual interests at their own speed. Selected class work is displayed on a weekly basis and instructors give students individual critiques, contrasting and comparing their efforts with that of their classmates.
