Master of Occupational Therapy Degree
We offer an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Bridge Program that is fully accredited through Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and has a consistently high NBCOT pass rate.
Applicants to the OTA to MOT bridge program must be Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), have obtained a bachelor’s degree, and meet the pre-requisites prior to application to the program. The MOT program provides the opportunity to advance your knowledge and skills in the profession that you love through a hybrid model, that allows you to continue working as a COTA throughout the didactic portion of the program.
The MOT program consists of six academic semesters, followed by a minimum of 24 full-time weeks (or the equivalent if completed on a part-time basis) of level II fieldwork. Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination.
*Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
