ACT/SAT Credit Policy

Students who earn outstanding scores on the ACT/SAT may qualify for credit in freshman-level English and/or math.

Credit is awarded for English 1001 and/or English 1002 courses to students who meet the following minimum criteria for ACT/SAT scores earned on a single test date:

SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 640 or higher + SAT Total Score of 1200 or higher

ACT English score + ACT Composite score of combined 65 or higher

Ex. English 33 + Composite 32

SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 640 or higher + SAT Total Score of 1420 or higher

Credit is awarded for Math 1011 or Math 1013 courses to students (graduating May 2007 or after) who meet the following minimum criteria for ACT/SAT scores earned on any test date:
